About Trail Geared

Trail Geared exists because too many "best of" lists are written by people who never unzipped the tent. We wanted a place that's honest about what's been tested, what hasn't, and why it matters.

We publish two kinds of content: general buying guides that help you understand gear, and hands-on reviews of products we've used on real trips. Reviews only go up after the gear has earned it.

How we make money

As an Amazon Associate, Trail Geared earns from qualifying purchases. Commissions help pay for gear and trips. They never decide what we recommend. Read the full details on our How We Test page.
